A card and I have reached 100 followers wow! (More candy added)

Hello every one, 100 FOLLOWERS WOO HOO! thank you to all that follow old & new. I have added extra yummy things to my candy, it's even more special as I didn't make becoming a follower a requirement of the candy so your following because you like my blog. Thank you thank you, your all most welcome.

It's been a wee while since a made a card so here we are, I have gone for the old size too no big 5x5 today. It's for a few challenges today too! Mojo Monday for the sketch, isn't it lovely? Basic Grey is Tutti Fruitti, I thought the colours I have used covered that, and the papers are lovely with the hearts on it. Alphabet Challenge U for Umbrella this week! the Play Date Cafe for the lovely colour combo. And finally a new blog challenge has arrived The Shabby Tea Room is also a colour combo. So pop along and go have a nosey at all the DT from these challenges as they are all pretty wonderful & Talented too!

I made my own paper for this little umbrella (litterally ;0) I bought a pot of paper perfect. I spread it out on some accitate added some fibers and let it dry over night, I really like it I made some green too! so watch out for that appearing lol. I thought of this sentiment while trying to connect the umbrella to the image, I don't think I have heard it any where else (who knows) but as I thought about friendship and combining this umbrella in to the card this little sentiment came to me and I really like it, it says " Friendship is the umbrella that protects us from the storms of life" I am really pleased with that one lol. Any way better get on with the weekend you all have a fabby time enjoy and be safe. Love Dawn xx

Inchies & Cards

On my last post I said I would be showing my GDT member post, (silly me) it's for Tuesday Taggers so it's not until tomorow, so please stop by and see what I came up with. I have also put this weeks SCD Trinchie with it, I do love that challenge blog! Any way in doing all this I have just missed the deadline over on Inch By Inch for this little one it is I for Insect, However, I have also done J for Joker! so I am a head for a little while at least lol On thie inchie above I sprayed some GM and dried, then punched out and added to white card stock which had been inked with DI, you can see the sparkle (Just).

And here is the inchie for this week on Inch By Inch 'J' for Joker! card stock inked then this little guy added and DI the edges nice simple one so thinking about K for next week (nothing yet comes to mind).

A couple of simple cards now (I know not like me!;0) this is for the Clean & Simple challenge to follow a sketch, a new one for me but I had come across this  challenge on Teresas blog and it was such a lovely card that she made I went along to the challenge and thought I would have a go, you can pop along and see her card too if you like. Over at the challenge blog they also have some super simple cards I do hope you like mine.

I kept it simple. I stamped then masked the main flower then stamped some more over it. I then picked the one flower head and put some EP in yellow on it just to bring this one to the fore, the lace and coloured card stock has also done it's job. I picked the colours to go along with the Basic Grey challenge, ,craft, white & yellow from a beautiful photo for inspiration. But after keep looking at this yummy photo inspiration I also decided to make another card, so this is one entry.

And here is another entry for the Basic Grey challenge. Again I have used the colours from the photo inspiration to make this card and kept it very fresh & simple. It's not like me to use this kind of die cut, but I have had it litterally years and it just sprang to mind when I was thinking of the BG ch.  It was litterally siticking and placing card/paper together. (I almost feel like I cheated no stamping or inking, me?) any way I do hope you like it, as it was so simple I did the inside too!I followed the simple sketch on the front of the card as well as inside the card from Midnight Maddness.

I thought you may like a close up of the butterfly isn't it Delish? I have used some chalk ink around the edge's to lift it from sinking into the paper. Thease are real feathers (told you I was going to find some ;0) with some yummy glitter on. I think they would be difficult to make, so glad I got a box full. They are normally used for flower displays I think as they had long wires on (but they will come in handy for something else!). A long post for me but I hope you like it do have a look round if you have the time I have lots of ATCs and altered projects as well as more yummy cards. If you leave a comment I will pop by to see what you have been up to as well. Love Dawn xx
