Sketch Saturday Pt. 2 DT call

Well Finally, I have a post to put up, this card or rather the process in choosing sketch and getting this done has taken days, oh the pressure lol. This is my entry in the second part of the Sketch Saturday DT Call. I was looking ages for a sketch, then guess what? I found one posted on my Birthday July 11th sketch 59. I don't think I have done this sketch before so I though mmm this is telling me something (yes your eldest has given you a grand child and your piggin old lol). I thought yep! that's the sketch for me, so there was that process done, lol.

I attempted three cards in the end the first two were just not good enough for this competition so left them to one side, I have to say I had my problems, talk about nerves lol keep thinking to my self ("I am through arn't I? I didn't dream it did I?). I just hope it is good enough. You will never guess I was looking around blog land and sem posted her entry I couldn't believe we have picked the same sketch, I had already started and I have another card to do this weekend so I though I am not starting again lol not after two that didn't make the grade. My son (baby boy) will be Sixteen on Monday, gosh I am getting OLD lol. So I have a male card to make too, I always struggle with these, mainly because I don't buy male stuff to make cards with lol, I will put this up tomorrow (later today my how time flys) but had to get this up so excuse the photography as I have had to take the pics with out natural day light.

Here is another couple of close up's of my hand made butterfly with wire & beads and everything lol. So fiddly. I wanted to use the ribbon with butterfly's in and I thought it would be a nice additional theme with the flowers, that and I got a new Marther Stewart punch I just had to use =) I put three of the small butterflys in the bottom left hand corner with the tinyest little heart gems in so pretty. This is a beautiful Stamp set, don't you think? This will be in the NEW Stampin' Up! (SU) catalogue in October as a Hostess level 2 gift if you would like any more information of how to get this stamp or others for free have a look at my top post or you can e-mail me craftydawn@googlemail.com

You get four stamps in this set, it's simply beautiful I love it. I have used one as a back ground stamp on the front card stock some in versamark and some with versamark, ink & clear emboss powder so you can see it and get added texture. Not a great photo as I said. I have also put faux stitching around every piece.
I though I would do the inside too, I do like to put something inside so it's not too plain. Not that matters for DT as you only show the out side. I have used the same image on the inside as you can see however, I have just used versamark & clear EP again. I've carried the ribbon on to the inside and I have also used the same back ground stamp with versamark and clear EP again so it's rasied and gives a texture to the inside as well. I hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it, thanx for looking. Love Dawn xx

Well enough natter Items Used:- Stampin' Up! DP, inks, brad, stamp sets main image Whimsical Wings (hostess level 2 gift new catty) Sentiment stamp set Fresh Cuts. Clear EP, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Papermainia gems, flowers prinma, charm, ribbon, beads & wire from stash.
