Sew yummy!

Hello Blog land, and my new followers, I never fail to get excited when more people decide to follow me, I am very happy that you want to come back and look around. I missed my bloggy buddies and all your yummy work I have managed to pop to some and leave comments I know how much they mean. I am still trying to gather my energy back from having James since Friday! Bless him he was so good. We  took him to Dunham Massy on Sunday and we got so close to some real wild dear, about three feet away! (I have it on video made our day to get so close to wild life?) I also took some photos of things in the house which you may like to keep to use as you like for an altered/mix media. I will get round to putting them up hopefully sometime this week. I do hope you all had a good week end and managed to get out in the good weather.

More Beautiful Stamps for me to show today though. This is the front of what may become something on my wall, or it could end up on a card ;0) not sure yet I just wanted to have a play and didn't think about measurements.

The sentiment isn't very clear, the glossy accents is still wet! I have used some lovely  DP and just stamped on to it directly! can you spot some of my handmade paper? and I distressed these flowers with a wee bit of ink on the edges and put a scrummy brad in the centre.

I just love these sissors, I would love a real pair! I love sewing as an art form in it's self but I am not very good I have made the odd item of clothing etc I do enjoy material I should use it more in my crafting. I have seen a lot of references in the crafty world of on-line shops. I managed to get some old sewing patterens and vintage buttons, (from charity shops and rummaging in my varied stash) I think with these stamps and a wee bit of imagination I can make something quite scrummy so this is just a bit of a trial run! I used some lace and added so more ink to age it slightly, Loving these new colours of Tim's they are fantastic shades for anything vintage. Please leave a comment I can then pop to your blog too especially if your new to my blog, just say hi ;0) Love Dawn xx

Items Used:- DPs, Basic grey. Inks, TH Distress Inks & SU. Lace and brad Making Memories. Flowers, Papermania. Hand made Paper. Stamps, Crafty Secrets. Glossy Accents.

SO lovely Dawn, the scissor and zipper stamps are super ... Love how you made the zipper pull pop and really look 'real'!
I too enjoy rescuing items from thrift shoppes, it is amazing what people can part with ;)

I actually saw a pair of scissors just like that at the craft store a few weeks back. They were brass and accompanied by a selection of other vintage styled sewing accessories. I came so close to buying them! Not sure why I didn't. Anyway, gorgeous work Dawn!
