Challenges

Hi, tis me again. Yes two posts today, so please have a look lower down for the first post, thanks. I saw these challenges and I just had to have a go at both of them. So I combined the two Gothic Arches is 'Butterflies' and I loved using these butterflies I can't remember where I got them but they are just lovely. The other challenge is SSS&S us your 'Stripes' and I have, with some left over basic grey scraps. And last but by no means least is The play date cafe (PDC)

I thought I would get a CU of the butterfly for you and I am pleased with how this photo turned out. All very detailed on the centre and then loses focus as it get's further away. You can enlarge the photo to see better if you like. Love Dawn xx

Gothic arch & Ginger snap challenges.

Happy Monday to you. Hope you managed to have some craft time over the week end. I don't seem to have stopped and it's been so much fun! However, painful at first working through lack of mojo. But I kept pushing and flicking through blog land and magazines and sticking bits down and painting and pretty soon my mojo had no choice but to return. As I was really rubbish with out it lol. So on to challenge one Gothic Arch they want a queen. So one of the most popular queens, I think in the craft world any way, is Marie Antoinette. And I have a wonderful set of stamps from Oxford impressions to help me out. Challenge number two is with Ginger Snap Creations is Kings & Queens so you can chose both or either one. I saw some lovely inspiration on there blog and there is plenty of time to enter with GSC.

Here is the close up. Of  queenie. Isn't she elegant?tottering around in tiny shoes. A bloggy friend of mine (and yours) Terri loves anything to do with her and has been to Paris to the Versailles (saying that she has more goodies involving MA again), so pop over if you have time. What a place, she had photos of the fabrics and furniture and of course all the china. We love a good bit of china. I am involved in a china swap there is a link on top right side bar. So more of this when I receive my goodies. It's all very exciting. Any way hope you like this little offering please pop along to the blogs and join in. It's always lovely reading what you have to say so thank you for any comments you leave. Oh and I seem to have gained a few more followers so welcome to you, how you find some inspiration and don't be shy leave a comment, we're all really friendly here aren't we girls? ;0) Love Dawn xx

ATC Gothic Arch

Hello every one, Thank you for all the wonderful comments yesterday I am getting stuck into using some of the yummy goodies you saw in privious post. I hope your enjoying some sun in the UK some where near you. Wednesday was glorious (got all my washing done!) and looks like today will be much of the same. I am just trying to ease my self back gently into crafting. So I have followed a challenge.

I made these flowers close to two years ago. The odd time I would do decoupage I would often make a few in advance and this has been floating around for this particular moment to help ease me into my crafting again ;0) so be gentle I am feeling very delicate as I'm trying to get back in to the zone!  ;o) I used an ATC and cut to shape of an arch. I then added some DI and stamped the back ground then added my daisy's. I have to say I really love daisy's as a flower and so when I saw this challenge over on Gothic Arches I had to have a go, and Simon Says Stamp & Show (SSSS) is all about layers and you can see there are lots of those. It's not my normal kind of style but I hope you like it none the less. Thank you for stopping by. Love Dawn xx

Items Used :- Stamps, Stamping Up. Inks, Tim Holts, Ranger. Foil decoupage.

2nd Post of the day & some more Challenges

Hello for the seccond time today, I have been doing lots of stuff maybe I should put less on the blog, but I do love to show you my efforts. Still Loving Paris! I have made this post card.So much work in this, and what fun it was to make. (got very messy) Some card stock used lots of DI and then stamped the Effel Tower then gessoed a script stamp. A photo by CI and altered it, same with the chip board, added it all together so this is entilted 'From Paris with Love' very yummy I do hope I get there this year (sighs!)

This chip board was sanded to an inch of it's life ;0) then crackle paint and emboss powder sprinkled on in places. You can see the texture here and I love how this turned out.

There is a very fine glitter all over this piece and consiquently it was all over me, the dog, cat and various other members of the family lol

On to a challenge, Gothic Arches the theme 'wild & wacky' well a guy with no body singing in a 'Gilded Cage' (this is the name I given this piece) notice the bird is free! well if that isn't wacky or wild I don't know what is lol. This is also being entered for The Three Muses which this week is 'Incognito' I do hope you like it.

This is white card stock, DI and then photo cut out and added, then gold EP and stamped carefully to make sure it looks like the man is safely inside! Then some more stamps in DI round the edges! I had real trouble thinking of something I can tell you!

Next is another challenge for Stampin' Sisters In Christ they are looking for peaceful this week. I think this brings peace, the colours and birds. I just fell in love with this card when it was finished! I think the papers are wonderful K&Co I have used them loads before (you get so many in a pad!) the stamps are indivually stamped with versafine and DI then Clear EP & heated. I have distressed all the edges.

You can see a few of the levels here and the texture I hope. Also the cute little butterflys all glittered.

Thought I would include a close up of the hand made flower, done with a circle scallop punch in the chosen paper then lots of stickles added and the punched leaves. I am sure you all know by now how to make these yummy flowers I have done a tutorial, July last year! you can find it Here If you want to have a look. I have just used three punched scallops instead on one!  then stuck them together, and of course a quick peak inside.

And finally a crafty delivery! going to be some Alice stamped creations floating around! I will be posting some candy for my blogaversary L8TA to day so stop by if you can so much going on in one day can you stand it? lol leave a comment. I love your comments and it gives me chance to visit yr blog too! However, if you haven't time why not give a quick click of the mouse on one of the boxes underneath the posts. Hi have been playing again today with so much stuff, I have been doing something for my GDT appearence on Tuesday Taggers (how cool?) I am very excited about this I can tell you! But enough of that for now on to this for Gothic Arches It's amazing where a few ATCs can lead too isn't it? The theme is Paris Exposition! so here is my little effort. I have entiltled it 'Lost Love' And I have been looking at some of the entries and they are wonderful so pop round a few new blogs if you have the time some wonderful stuff worth looking at!

Any one recgognise my inchie making an appearence? lol I may even make a card from this ATC. I have some very glittery ribbon and pleated it, stapled it in the middle and popped it on this sweet photo from CI, she looks so French I thought she would fit in with the title I came up with she looks kinda sad, wistful almost.

One more close up! and that's your lot ;0). Have you noticed I have used the negitive hearts from the left over punch to look like the love is floating away like confette! Ok you must of had enough of me today as this is my second post, well I already sheduled one for tommorow and I really wanted to share this with you too. Love Dawn xx

Items Used: DP K&Co. Card stock, SU. Ribbon stash, Lace from wild Orchid craft. Pebble, Prima. Photos from Crafty Individuals.Distress ink, oh and I used a marther stewart punch.
