GSC exchange.

So It should be the last day of Feb and Monday morning as I have set this for schedule. I hope the weather is OK with you and you have had a plesant week end. I made these for the currant GSC Exchange I had to join in. I have lots of these mats and an excuse to get creative with them seemed an ideal way to spend a day lol

Here they are all individually so you can see the details better. The only restriction was that all were individual and had hearts on, oh and the size. I will send these off and get four individual ones back in return. Anything else goes so I may make some more for my self, great for putting on the cover of a book or card and ready when you want them. There are lots of examples to wet your appetite so why not pop along and have a look on the GSC Exchange post for some more ideas. Love Dawn xx

Card &Trinchie

Hi ya. well it's a bit late but hey I was up until 4am last night. I was at Asda at midnight buying New Moon and of course I had to watch Twilight & New Moon (so sad I know) but I wasn't the only person at Asda at midnight waiting for NEW MOON. ;0)

Now on to the card, over at Ginger Snap Creations  the theme is a colour challenge, Copper,Rust or ginger and I have made a copper metal card and some copper glitter for good measure lol. I am also entering this for Quirky Crafts   whose theme is Flowers.

Here you can see the close up of the double flower with copper brad. I really like the mesh flower it adds to the already existing texture.

On to my Trinchie which I am also entering for Ginger Snap creations same colour theme of Copper, Rust & Ginger. This is also for Something Completely Different (SCD) challenge which this month are 'Trinches' and this week is 'music'. I made this on Sunday and having been to church I was thinking how the hymns moved my soul and this is how the sentiment came to mind.

You can really see the texture here of the rust I love this technique. I have used some DP then distressed with DI, die cut the lock & Key from copper then aged with Distressing powder. I really am happy with the effect I love this technique. I hope you like these please do go have a look at the challenges and the DT examples. And I want to hear all about your twilight madness (if I am not the only one that is lol) Love Dawn xx

Items Used:- Cuttle Bug die cut machine, Ef & Tim holts  Alteration Die (Sizzix). Copper sheet metal. DP Making Memories (MM) flowers MM Sentiments Cuttle bug die cut & my own. Distress inks & Diistrss powders Tim Holtz (Ranger).

Tim Holtz 12 tags of Christmas

Second post of the day I know only just 10am! so please have a look below this post. This is Tag (10) I have used this technique before so I had the foil in (thats unusual lol)However I think My tags are smaller than Tim's as I had trouble fitting things on! so a little alteration lol
It's been really fun Doing these, this is tag (8) yes I have missed tag 9 out just couldn't think at all, I'll get it done I am sure. I really hope your not expecting a list of items. I used so much stuff, I swapped the music notes for script (as I don't have music) but thought with the post box it would be more approprate any how lol
This is the lovely tag (7)For once the light has caught well her on the gold sentiment & glitter I would dearly love to go on a photography course but I have seen the price of a decent camera and let's just say my little £80 Samsung will do just fine lol
Oh I really enjoyed this tag (6) I found some great journey clear stamps, wouldn't mind I bought a set of male stamps with card, trains etc as I forgot i had this turns out this was the best for the job (you know the one I already had) lol good job the set I bought was only cheep £5 and it will defo come in handy (don't all stamps?) I used a page from a second hand french book I bought for just such occasions lol the tree has stickles on & very glittery but not seen here please feel free to click on the photos to enlarge.
Now you know when you have bought something and cannot find it for love or money this is what happend to me for tag (5), yes ladies I bought (quite some time ago) some of the clear epoxy things which would have been perfect but are no where to be seen (any where). I have to say spent about an hour looking for them and even longer looking for the foil on tag 10 but at least I found that! So I stamped some winter senes up and coloured with copic's to get and graduated look then covered them in Glossy accents and Bob's your uncle (baubles). It was fun though going through all the draws finding other stuff I forgot I had, which I will no doubt be unable to find when I need it lol. Thank you for looking & any comments. Love Dawn xx
