Bird journal swap. March

How happy am I? the lovely Cindy of Whimsical Musings has featured ME? can you believe it, no I couldn't either well I have the e-mail so ner it has to be true. Cindy is a lovely person full of spirit and love for every one so to be pointed out by here I am indeed honoured. So thank you to Cindy do pop round and have a look at this woman in action her art is darling just like her. Now, here we are again with another journal swap from the bird journal, I am really getting into these swaps now and I hope my pages are also lol this months title was 'Home sweet home' I think the bird looks pretty well at home out side doesn't it?

I took Tim holtz die cut and used shrink plastic, before shrinking I used lots of alcohol inks to intensify the colours. There is some paper piecing  in there with the hills and some painting to, so quite a lot of work in this. I am entering this in to a challenge Paint Party Friday the link is in my side bar. I really loved making the back ground though as well. just an enjoyable make altogether. and that's the point of crafting isn't it, to have fun. I thank you so much for your constant support and comments. To all the women out there have a wonderful mothers day, we are all mothers to some one in some way, it's our nature! Love Dawn xx

Up up and away in my beautiful balloon

I thought I would make a male card for this stamp, I really love it but I have no idea what manufacturer it's from, as I bought it off e-bay for a £1 so if you know the brand do let me know. I have decided to enter this for SSIC & Tuesday Taggers, there challenge this week is the theme 'TIME' so many options. I have a clock stamp, and clock charms too, but I thought this fit really well. I don't think there is a prize on offer for TT but do stop by and have a look at the DT if nothing else ,as they are super! I am happy with the out come as I don't often do male cards and I do find them a little difficult.

Here is a close up of the image, I have paper pieced the balloon wioth DPs but i had a lot of playing with more new DI for the back ground, if you look carefully I even coloured the people in the balloon with copics. Thank you for looking and keep your comments comming I really love reading them and appreciate the time you spend here. Love Dawn xx

Items Used:- Image e-bay. Card stock, SU. Ribbon, Hobby House. Stamped sentiment, studio alphabet. DP, SU, Making Memories & My Minds Eye. Inks, Tim Holtz DI. Copics. Marther Stewart Punch.

Two challenges for this one

Hi, So how is the SNOW effecting you all? hubby and I can't goto cinema as it's closed (due to weather) so have booked in at a lovely resturant near us (not too far!) lol isn't is astounding how a couple of weeks snow can bring a country to it's knees! I used to live in Germany as a child (for a wee while) and every year we had gloryious Winters as kids but it never stopped every one getting to work. When we have a few days of Sun it's the same thing (no water) too much rain? (flooding) Please can Britain become Great again and look after it's people it's not like we are not the highest taxed in all of Europe! I am sure many of my UK fellow crafters must feel similar.

OK Rant over, look on the bright side crafting is on top of my list of things to do (after feeding birds out side) lots visiting bless 'em I have lots of different kinds of food out to attract and help them in this very didfficult time for them.
I love this image and this is for Sketch Saturday which of course is to follow the sketch as always I do enjoy SS DT ( Iwas so close to being one of them lol how can I not continue to support the wonderful ladies there. Also this is for Kraftin’ Kimmy their challenge is to use some Paper Piecing I use this tecnique quite often although I do love to colour in my images much more. I am sure I must have said it B4 though, I would wear many DP I have in my draw lol
Using my new punch again here for the leaves I like to put some ink on the edges just to give them a wee bit of definition. I do hope you like this card there is planty of time so why not have a go?Thank you for looking. Love Dawn xx
