Challenge card

Hi ya, the sun is shining, but it's still cold so  wrap up if your out in the North West like me. Well, we took our little James back to his mom yesterday and I  managed in the evening to make this little card. I am using Mojo Monday's sketch and WOJ's colour combo of Coffee & Cream. I am very happy with the way it turned out.

Here is a close up of the image, it's one of last years special summer ones from WOJ I think, but that is the joy of Elisabeth Bell's designs I think they always look fresh and new. She is coloured with Copics.

Do you like the flowers, slider and lace?  I love the new online shop I have found, you may already know it but it's new to me they are called Wild Orchid Crafts You know me If I see good product as well as good service I will let you know. And I love these guys. Very reasonably priced and great variety of flowers, lace etc so go pop and have a look, and if you already new, why did you keep it a secret? lol.  I have coloured the roses with a copic marker (just the edges) the longer you hold the marker the more colour bleeds into the flower, I like this little technique. As always I love your visits & comments if you leave one thanx for stopping by and taking the time. Love Dawn xx

Items Used:- Stamps, WOJ. DP, My minds eye. Flowers, leaf & slider, Wild Orchid Crafts (WOC). Ribbon, stash. and coloured with copic markers.

Challenge card

Hi all, first can I say a BIG thank you to all of you who commented on my hubby's card he was very surprised as he thought the card wasn't very good. You have inspired him on to do some more so thank you so much. (not sure about sharing all my goodies lol) he has his eye on a set of Tim Holtz stamps (cinema one) as he wants to distress some boxes which he has all his DVDs in and I have to say I have encouraged him here lol as I get lots of new stamps and as usual hubby says get what you need (but I NEED so many! ;-)

Now my card, I am going for a few challenges on this one so here goes. WOJ The theme of pearls & swirls (great theme this). Simon Says is a recipe of :- 3x embelishments, 2x DP 1x image Allsorts Is 3,2,1, So I have used the same as Simon says for this challenge . Basic Grey this week is a sketch, so there we are, pop round and have a look there are some prizes as well as a GD spot so worth having a go.

Now only being able to use 2x DP I thought with all my new GM I should make some paper too! and I love one of my new GM colours it's almost edible lol Candy Apple Red mixed with some Coffee Shop fabby combo. I firstly sprayed some cardstock with the candy apple red then used an SU stamp for the swirls and some clear EP heated then when dry I put a seccond layer of GM this time in coffee shop! I also used this paper for layering the image, it's a shame you can't see how this stuff shimmers!

The rest is pretty self explanitory but as always if you have any questions please ask away! I would also like to take this oportunity to welcome a few new followers, it's wonderful to have you and I hope you like this card, I will be if I haven't already poping round to your blogs and those I have seen so far are wonderful and so pleased you think my posts are worth coming to see. All the comments I get are read with pleasure and I do love visiting you too, I follow way more than I can keep up with but you all inspire me and I am so happy that you all share your wonderful tallents with me as well as the whole of blog land lol. Thank you for looking. Love Dawn xx
