Vintage card, tag & a challenge

You know when you make something and your just so happy with it? This is what happened for me making this B'day card. I haven't made a card for a while and I wanted some thing special, as it's my mum's 60th (she doesn't look it though, I hope I have her young looking genes ha ha) in March and I wanted to be prepared and I am happy with the first attempt. I love this style. The perfume bottle is from the graphic fairy It's a fantastic site. Can't remember where the woman image came from (if any one knows let me know I can give them credit) Click to enlarge, the paper is a cracking price 30p from Art from the heart it's called 'sweetie' they have lots at this price. I added some stamped images of my own with TH distress ink, spun sugar to.

Here's a close up of the perfume bottle. I shrunk it so I could make a accent with it. It's coloured and then some Glossy accents to give it a glass feel don't think you can see it to well on this photo though.

I made this quick tag for a challenge with Tag Tuesday I haven't played in ages and it was nice to go back. The theme this week is 'Post Card' the options are endless for this, but I settled for this. Have a fabby week end. Love Dawn xx

Birthday Cards.

How have you been my bloggy pal's? I hope I find you well to day and that you have had some fun crafting (or you will very soon). I have joined a wonderful swap for tea cups & saucers, this is where I will send a person one of my TC&S to a fellow swaper. If you like teacups like I do there is still time, to join in the fun, there is a link on the right hand side but hurry as we all have to have them sent off by the end of January so we have new gifts in time for Valentines.

I have two birthdays this week, both are on Sunday unusually, (friends from church) This is for Barbara I stamped this beautiful image on photo glossy paper, these stamps from the stampsmith are even better on glossy paper than on card stock although very nice on either.

Here's a close up, I also put some of that glass glitter that looks so vintage. There is also some vintage lace I have had ages it just fits so perfectly with the colours I thought. I put some stamped images and ribbon on the inside.

This card is for Pat. Different image (Oxford Impressions) but stamped on linen card stock I love the added texture here there is also another smaller male image on the inside.

Here is the Close up I love the added tag (from Papermania) I think I have had this tag for at least 2yrs ;0) every thing fits when it fits don't throw anything away lol. The remember scallop comes out (how cute) I have written a little message on her for her. I hope they like their cards, I really enjoyed making them. Have a wonderful day Love Dawn xx.

Inchies and a card

Hello every one, how was your week end? mine was very busy but not crafting unfortunatly and so I feel a wee bit rusty and not at my best by far! I apologize for the poor quality of the photo I am entering this for Inch by Inch I missed the dead line for K  is for King  This week is L is for Light bulb. However, Fiona has had a sudden loss in the family and not doing any more  until after Easter. My love and Prayers to you & your family at this sad time.

I have also included two single photos if you want to have a closer look.
I have not been too well over the weekend I think a mixture of going to the hospital and having James for a few days not to mention a little Stomach bug, so I am affraid I think it shows in my crafting today. Lets hope I get better or I will have to stop posting until I can come up with something better ;0) Have since added Glossy accents to the actual bulb to make it more 3D simple addition but make a big difference.

Here is a very quick B'day card for a male, I haven't found any challenges to put this  into as yet! Allsorts is 'rags to Riches. And as all the Dp on this card and the inchies card stock is from scrap I thought these would fit the challenge. I have to say these stamps are wonderful I have just bought my first two and I will have to get some more soon. I stamped the image on white card stock, cut round it, than added to DP and more black cardstock. More DP and aged the edges with some DI made a dickie bow from the black card stock scrap and used a white jelly roll pen to add the polka dots (Laural bow tie) Actually al the DP are scrap bits. So as I said very simple card, A nice quick easy make for a male B'day if you get stuck! Love Dawn xx

Challenge card

A challenge card, For Magnolia which this week is for Birthday, simple enough! Next is for Simon Says which is vintage with flowers and finally Sketch Saturday to follow the sketch! And Paper Take Weekly is Buttons, Bows, brads or bling. I have gone for Buttons & bows go to their blog for more info and a look at the DT creations. They are all worth a look!

Here is a close up. I have coloured her head scarf, shoes and dress with ditress ink as I just loved this colour so much. The rest is the usual copic markers. I though the colour was perfect for a vintage feel not too bright a very nice muted colour.

And a wee bit of lace and button doesn't go a miss to add to the vintage feel. I hope you like this card. I hope I can get messy again soon and make something different with all the new goodies I have been getting recently. As always I value all my visitors, I may have to give some candy away soon as it's been over a year since I began blogging and I hadn't even realised it's been so much fun! and it's thanx to craft and the visitors to this blog so look out for it no idea what it will be. Love Dawn xx

It's,  full of techniques  Some, I have used before also with different twist on them. Some completely new and most important at my hands when I need them instead of you tube. lol (you know what it's like you go on the computer for one thing and then 2 hrs later you wonder why still no actual craft has been done lol. Challenge card

Hi all, first can I say a BIG thank you to all of you who commented on my hubby's card he was very surprised as he thought the card wasn't very good. You have inspired him on to do some more so thank you so much. (not sure about sharing all my goodies lol) he has his eye on a set of Tim Holtz stamps (cinema one) as he wants to distress some boxes which he has all his DVDs in and I have to say I have encouraged him here lol as I get lots of new stamps and as usual hubby says get what you need (but I NEED so many! ;-)

Now my card, I am going for a few challenges on this one so here goes. WOJ The theme of pearls & swirls (great theme this). Simon Says is a recipe of :- 3x embelishments, 2x DP 1x image Allsorts Is 3,2,1, So I have used the same as Simon says for this challenge . Basic Grey this week is a sketch, so there we are, pop round and have a look there are some prizes as well as a GD spot so worth having a go.

Now only being able to use 2x DP I thought with all my new GM I should make some paper too! and I love one of my new GM colours it's almost edible lol Candy Apple Red mixed with some Coffee Shop fabby combo. I firstly sprayed some cardstock with the candy apple red then used an SU stamp for the swirls and some clear EP heated then when dry I put a seccond layer of GM this time in coffee shop! I also used this paper for layering the image, it's a shame you can't see how this stuff shimmers!

The rest is pretty self explanitory but as always if you have any questions please ask away! I would also like to take this oportunity to welcome a few new followers, it's wonderful to have you and I hope you like this card, I will be if I haven't already poping round to your blogs and those I have seen so far are wonderful and so pleased you think my posts are worth coming to see. All the comments I get are read with pleasure and I do love visiting you too, I follow way more than I can keep up with but you all inspire me and I am so happy that you all share your wonderful tallents with me as well as the whole of blog land lol. Thank you for looking. Love Dawn xx
