ATC anyone?

Some quick ATCs I made yesterday I really like how they turned out :) let me know if you want to have a swap Dxx

ATC swap

I am joining in with a swap over at The Trodden Path It's a new group & they have classes for free & paid. Some very interesting classes available. There is a monthly ATC swap. The title of which is 'Vintage Risqué  and to be tasteful. We haven't even been assigned partners yet but I saw this, this morning and just got to work.

Some close ups you only need to do three I think. But I always like to do an extra one so I have one from the group of my own. I will also get three in return so it will be nice to get some in the post. thanks for looking Dxx

ATCs I love 'em

I love making ATCs and I got some extra thick card to make these so they were nice & sturdy. Aren't the bunnies cute? I had fun making these colourful little chaps. I used sprays (Dylusions) then lots of ink & paint stamping. I coloured the bunnies (Crafty Individuals) with copics, Below are close ups See you soon hope you're having a good day Dawn xx

Using stuff I forgot I had

I like to have a rummage and find things I forgot I had or better still things given as little gifts in swaps, like bits of paper sequins buttons etc.  It helps the creativity flow I feel. When you haven't been making much on the paper front for a while it's nice to get a helpful creative boost from something new and it didn't cost me a penny ;0)

I really loved this little fairy image and crochet flower. Some ink, paper a few gems, sequin and some 3D foam and there is another little ATC ready for a swap or gift. I challenge you to find things you haven't used and make something new out of it. Love Dawn xx

Cats & Dogs

More ATCs and more swaps. This has a title of 'Where's my Crown' I saw someone's ATCs had cute cats on and I had to do the same, but obviously very different. These Pugs and Pussy cats look so cute they have to have crowns, don't they? Only I don't get to keep them they go off into the world to make people smile. Here are some close ups........

The hats/crowns are from  Here & Cats & Pugs are from Here I am using more Digi images in my work it seems but hey ho as long as it's working I will continue to play with them ;0) I do like the back ground work for these ATCs though, you should of seen the colour of me ha ha I do this a lot in my journaling as well I love the ghost like images and the depth it gives. Little Red Riding hood

Hi Me again, so how are you? feeling well I hope and looking forward to the weekend. I should be having James (grand son) but not sure I want to give him back the rotten cold he gave me lol. The ATCs are coming thick and fast aren't they? Here is another set. These however, are for a swap I am part of at  Blissful Art Swaps Click for more info ;0) Any way when I printed the template house they were smaller that the ATC size so I added them to an ATC card. I was really pleased with the finished swap but I will have to say good bye to these and I am sure I will get some LUSH replacements from the girls who are participating. Would you like some close up's? ................

Fairy tale time

Morning everyone. I am STILL suffering with a cold, but you don't want to hear that, although I must tell you I make the best home made lemsip EVER! ha ha. Real lemons, orange blossom honey, hot water and a couple of good pain killers, ha beat that cold I was breathing and headache free in no time, so I am managing & thanks for your well wishes. I have been using Altered Artifacts for a while, she has some lovely images for sale. But I was looking for something in particular she didn't have and she came up trumps, in just a couple of days I had these delish Fairy tale images (story book) they will be called and they are not available yet but soon will be. Keep your eyes peeled. ;0) Here are some close ups.........

What's not to love about these images, I have always fancied stamps in these kind of vintage (lady bird) images you know sleeping beauty Cinderella etc Any way these are just a sample there will be lots more available. So a BIG thank you to Inka for getting me these yummy Images. I have typed sentiments on the comp. thought I would have a bit of a naughty laugh poor little lamb ;0) Love Dawn xx

ATC Swap Pt two

How beautiful these are I love them and thankyou so much Wendy for the time you took to fit little ol' me in from the UK And I was so happy to hear you found ALL the ATCs I sent to you ;0) Here is a closer look of her work........

As I can't join in the ATC swap over on their Blog being in the UK Wendy did a wee private swap with me, and I'm so happy she did, I just adore these ATCs and all the work involved in them such detail. ATC Swap!

Hi guys and I hope you have had a wonderful rest on the Easter break. We all had a fab Easter here in  our house, apart from the rain it hasn't stopped all day today (Monday) typical B.H. for England. Any way I wasn't going to share this swap with you until I also got Wendy's swap however, something completely bizarre has happened.

Wendy kindly agreed to do a swap with me because the swap club she helps run only swaps in USA & Canada. And I was so looking forward to joining in. She suggested we do a swap together on the months theme which was 'Springtime in Paris'.

And these were the ATCs I sent her along with a wee gift bag. Now the wonderful Customs and Exercise people decided to a) open and search my parcel and b) take two of the ATCs for them self!  How shocking?

I have no idea why they would do such a thing nothing living or against the rules as far as I am aware although I did put a few lavender flower specks in to give the parcel a nice smell but why would they then send some of the parcel and not all of it? As all the ATCs were wrapped in the same sealed packet? I am baffled. Any way Wendy I am so sorry about this I have no Idea why they would do such a thing. Any way here is a view of those I sent to you. 

Have any of you had your ATCs taken. I have to say this isn't the first time it's happened to me I lost a full set I sent in a swap in the UK the envelope never arrived at all. I think we have some postys who can't resist a bit of pocket art. Love Dawn xx

ATCs

Hello, I have been messing around with ATCs There are a few photos on this post, but not much writing so it will all work out ;0) As I said I haven't done any ATC (Artist Trading Cards) For a good long while. But they are fun. I decided to Use ATC because I wanted to do a technique I hadn't done for a while before I did it in a journal, and these are a great size for testing new ideas/techniques. I am going to join in with SSS&S And this week is all about hand made backgrounds ;0)

I really enjoyed this technique. The technique is called 'Pealed Paint' some paint and Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly) and your away. Although the drying time in between is a nuisance, so you may as well do a few at a time leave them to dry over night and then you can enjoy them the next day. (steam punk is not pealed paint) that was a transferred back ground.

I have to say I really liked the corset and frilly knickers worn here by Dita von tease ;0) and the way her face is caught in the mirror. The cheeky saying with the fifties style mother & child kinda of tickled my funny bone as well lol Any way hope you saw something you liked. Love Dawn xx

Travel ATC

Hello and a very good day to you ;0) I am back from hospital and apart from one complication I am recovering well. So I still probably wont be around as much as I would like on the computer but I am very well and thank you all for stopping by and wishing me well again. I had some time spare and the ability to sit comfortably to create an ATC & inchie. I really enjoyed playing again on these small canvasses.

This photo should be landscape but it doesn't appear to have saved it that way. Never mind, you still get a really good close up of the inchie here as well as the background stamping. I based the ATC on travel I even put a real old French Franc on as well as a vintage stamp, I think it gives it an authentisity all of it's own ;0) Love Dawn xx

The Sun Is Shining

I am so happy because the sun is shining the garden is showing signs of life and I have time to craft. Doesn't get much better than that does it? ;0) I felt about 8yrs old colouring this in. I could of gone for the copics as I often do when colouring but I wanted that child like quality. The stamps are from Dyan of Dylusions I love the body and mushrooms the rest including the head I did my self The inks are tim's for the back ground.

I used to draw girls all the time in class with my friend Paula. But I would never had drawn them for a project because they are so child like but looking at Dyan's head (provided with the stamps) as lovely as it was I wanted something different, so I drew my own and then I thought why not the house and hills as well? even mr sun is smiling so that is what the sun did to me today lol maybe I should stay in the shade ha ha. This also fits well in the the Artistic Stamper challenge whitch is 'Spring is sprung' and while I am at it I will include it in to Tag Tuesday  'Spring' and the wonderful Rebecca has take over the mantle of the lovely Louise. 

I made an ATC on Friday with a new sheet off a friend of mine, you may well know her as Land of Nod Studios Well the lovely Debs has now decided to do some digi sheets and they are gorgeous, go and have a look for your self HERE I have already bought some and I love them. And on her blog she gives images away every Friday they are not to be missed.

Here's a close up of the images I used. I inked and stamped the back ground with some crafty Individuals love their stamps and Malcolm is a little angel bless. I stuck the ATC on to a cheap little note book to take with me to Harrogate to write down e-mail addys and ideas I saw. I hope you like my items today I had lots of fun making them. Love Dawn xx
