WOYWW 61 & Dawnies ATC swap

So it's WOYWW with Julia I have missed a few weeks, and I missed you all. But the desk isn't it's normal fairly tidy self, it's a tip! I haven't created much in the way of finished projects it's more doing lots of bits to make my art with. I have really been transferring a lot of images on to various materials this has been so much fun! but have only used one of them on an ATC which I posted yesterday if you want to have a look. There's a piece I made with my melt pot! and some Die Cuts. Some books & magazines I am reading (referring to) and some new Graphic 45 DP AIWL Halloween style really nice. Although we're not big on sending people Halloween cards etc I though some ATCs at some point would be good. Any way thanks for stopping by I will have a nosey at your desks through the day ;0)

The above ATCs are from my monthly swap with Petra The theme was French/Paris and these above are what I made and below are Petra's isn't she talented? 

Now I hope you can draw some inspiration from our swap which we did in the month of June. At the end of Aug I'll show you our July swap. Dawnies ATC Club

Hello, how is your Sunday going? Mine is going really well 170 followers wow! Thank you so much. It means SO much when you decide to follow me . It means you like my art and want to see more and I am so chuffed (pleased) really I am thank you and I hope I can continue to make you smile and want to pop by again. 

My Hubby is watching the Football (more solitude and time to craft for me what are you all doing while the footy is on?)  it's an important match so I am told ha ha. Good job there is no tennis on a Sunday!

Today I wanted to tell you that I have had an ATC swap going since April with a lovely friend Petra for the next six months April-Sept each month we swap 3x ATC and we decide on a theme April was 'Cinema'

These were mine, (Previously shown.) 

And these were Petra's I think the saying "two great minds think a like" comes to mind here lol I was so thrilled with these I can't tell you.

May came and the theme was 'Flowers' here are mine (previously shown)

And here are Petra's. Again I was so grateful for the swaps we have. Aren't they beautiful?

I share these with you as I thought at the end of each month I would show what we have come up with.  Now for the month of 'JUNE' the theme was 'Paris/French' so if you would like to leave a link in a comment to a single or a few ATCs you have made with this theme I can show a few at the end of July on my blog if you like. Along with what my self and Petra made too! There are no prizes, it's purely just for fun and just a way of my followers to join in the fun of our swap (virtually) if you like. Dawnies ATC swap

Morning Campers, Hi de Hi (ho de ho) throw back from 80s TV in UK I used to love that  series, do impressions of Peggy (Sue Pollard) Ted (Paul Shane) and the Welsh one (Ruth Madocks) (what was the characters name?) Was it Gladis? I can't find it on the web on the DVDs but not the character names don't you hate it when that happens ;0) See there I go again off on a tangent lol. 

Any way picked my James up today, we are out all day tommoro so don't know how much if anything I will get done lol so I hope you enjoy these as a wee stop gap. 

It was Gladis Pugh (found it thank you Play.com) lol just bought series 1&2 for £6.99 that 's not much for a walk down memory lane. I love 'The Darling buds of May' been watching them on gold. Catherine Zeta-Jones BEFORE HOLLYWOOD... Couldn't resist it all six series for less than £12 good family, no harm, TV entertainment, Love it. If I want a DVD I always goto Play.com first I only put them down because I have always got great value and fab service. (I know it's not crafty so hope you for give me wafferling for last few min's lol)

You may remember I asked for some ATC swap buddies. Well I got a lovely lady called Petra who wanted to swap so I set the theme of 'Cinema' and we swap 3x ATC each month. this being the 1st one. I have kept one back for my self. I do hope she likes these, any suggestions for what the theme could be for May?

Any way I thought I would also enter a challenge with these as Simon Says theme is 'Movies or something to do with movies' you can't goto the cinema/movies with out a ticket or POPCORN (sweet of course).

Here's a close up, I have used some stamps and then coloured this one with copics to look like the old pop corn packets added some stickles to bling it up a wee bit and then stamped the  ticket and added some sticky cousions and used the same copic colours and stickles.

Not like me but these two are almost the same but I thought looked very different, enough to warrent doing two. I went more with a vintage look and used distresss stickles 'rock candy' understated bling I love it!

Then finally I used the other stamps in the plate and created this. I love the vintage so continued with the distress inks and folded the film real (well they often snaped or melted) what do you think? I hope Petra likes these. I almost feel as though I cheated as the stamps have done so much of the work here. But I didn't want to add ribbon (for a change) or embellies as I thought it would take away from the feel of the theme.

I do hope she likes them. I am happy with how they look and they are even better IRL but as I said I do feel like the stamps did most of the work. What do you think? did I cheat? Love Dawn xx
