Lyme Park, Mr Darcy! 12x12 LO & Gift tag

Good morning to you on this Sabeth day, and Mothering Sunday I hope all you wonderful women have been spoilt in some way today. I'm off to church soon but I thought I would share my late night goodies with you, if you didn't see yesterdays goodness (Saturdays are busy arn't they?) please go have a look at my altered item. This 12x12 LO is for the The Play Date Cafe there is a wonderful prize if you win. I love the photo inspirations they choose, so yummy and I love this colour combo which is the challenge this week so if you want to join in pop over through the link and find out more.

Here is a close up of the center panel. I have used some Co'Ordinations card stock and distressed it, put some lace from my stash to give some nice edges, I inked round the 12x12 card stock with some DIs. And used some finer quality lace to trim the photograph. The right photo is rasied on sticky cusions to give depth

Here is a close up of hubby & James going up to the 'Cage' on the grounds of the park. The buttons are very sparkly although not at the right angle here to be seen.  And this is a grand swirl from SU. We have been going here every year since our children were little and now we're taking our grand son. Lyme Park Is a wonderful place to visit, I have put a link in for you if you would like to find out more about the house of the wonderful Mr Darcy from the BBC Jane Austin Pride & Predjudice (my fave period costume drama of all time).

Here is a view from the front of the house, (they usually show the back in most photos) and our lovely dog Dita, she loves it here too (although dogs are not welcome in the house and gardens at the back of the house) but there are some fab walks as well as deer,  cafes etc depending on the season. However, all sorts of things to do any time of the year. Gosh you would think I worked for the National Trust (this is who it is looked after by). Any way I hope you like this LO I loved working on it as the colours went so well with the subject matter and I had a chance to think about one of my most favourate places to visit.

On to the next little project, this is for a couple of challenges. First Allsorts which is a colour challenge of Black, Pink & White. Then on to Ginger creations  we have to supply Frosting! I have put some distress crackle and distress rock candy on this tag/book mark. And then we come to Alphabet Challenge which is to make a tag. I would call this a GIFT tag as it can also be a book mark!

Hopefully from this close up you can see the 'Frosting' I still love this Rock candy DS it's really effective and I have used it alot! also we have the crackle distress too to give the tag.BM an added texture.

Finally you can see it here being used as a BM. I Look forward to reading your comments have a wonderful day.Oh I almost forgot, I have a wonderful post for you tomorrow already sheduled (hint! is I am a GDT) so please come and have a look at my post. Love Dawn xx

Hello again blog land, What a beautiful day it was today (Monday) I'm going out tomorow so will be busy most of the day, then hoping to got to the Cinema to see Alice in Wonderland in (3D) So plenty of inspiration when I'm out but no crafting arrgghh!! How will I cope?

This is a 'Trinchie' a 3x3 piece work of art (if on a small scale) although it was inchies last week! lol I  love this colour of DI Worn Lipstick and a bit of weatherd wood thrown in. This is for the challenge over at Something Completely Different for this month the theme is Trinchies and this week it's love & romance. You can't have Love & Romance with out Paris in my book (not at the moment any way ;0)

Final picture, awh isn't that nice swoon! I love the lace on her head dress isn't it beautiful? So how did I make it? OK I distressed the white card in two colours, then with the same colour stamped some chandeliers as a Back ground, then, change of ink and stamped some more, the rest is self explanitory I think! if you have any questions you know you can ask, no wories.  Thanx for visiting. Love Dawn xx
