Magnolia special monthly challenge!

 

Firstly can I say a big hello to my new followers so nice to have you join my crafty journey. Do you like it? I thought I would have a go at the special monthly challenge over at Just Magnolia and it's to follow Dena's TENT card, not come across this before so though, "in for a penny in for a pound" I'll have a go,  I seem to be trying lots of new things out so why not this lol.

There are quite a few photos of this card so I thought I would shrink them a wee bit. There is so much detail I just had to take a few more photos than usual Hope you don't mind! Can you see the chip board flowers in the back? They took ages lol I got some of Tim's alcohol inks and got cracking. Then some of his stamps and some stazon on and there you go chip board flowers, I was going to save them for the front of a card, then thought what the hell lets splurge and but them in this back ground lol.

You can goto to the blog with the above link for the tutorial of how to make the card, it's  very simple when you know how ;0) so I made a size that would fit the envelopes I had lol 5x5 it's very easy to adjust so why not have a go?

Aren't these butterflus yummy? They are cut out of Craftly Individuals (CI) DP I have seen a lot of butterflys floating around, must be the time of year. I would like to get some feather ones so I will have to keep my eyes peeled. Do let me know if you find any thing?

 

Here she is making another appearence (the one of the two Magnolias I own) I am having to stop the crafty spending for a wee while, went a bit daft last month lol but I think I will be getting some of the Easter ones of these Magnolias they are just too adorable.

  

Love these Tickets more versitile than I thought really. More butterflys, and some distress stickles to add to the colour of the card. I wasn't going to get the DS but I am glad I did now. I have used them loads already! Well I hoped you like the card pop along to have a look at the DT they are very good as I am sure you know. I am off to get all grungy now and make something messy! Thank you for following and commenting they give me more enthusiasum for making stuff, I really appreciate the comments you leave ( I wish this had a spell checker I am sure I have miss spelt some words any way can't be perfect lol Love Dawn xx

Challenge card

A challenge card, For Magnolia which this week is for Birthday, simple enough! Next is for Simon Says which is vintage with flowers and finally Sketch Saturday to follow the sketch! And Paper Take Weekly is Buttons, Bows, brads or bling. I have gone for Buttons & bows go to their blog for more info and a look at the DT creations. They are all worth a look!

Here is a close up. I have coloured her head scarf, shoes and dress with ditress ink as I just loved this colour so much. The rest is the usual copic markers. I though the colour was perfect for a vintage feel not too bright a very nice muted colour.

 

And a wee bit of lace and button doesn't go a miss to add to the vintage feel. I hope you like this card. I hope I can get messy again soon and make something different with all the new goodies I have been getting recently. As always I value all my visitors, I may have to give some candy away soon as it's been over a year since I began blogging and I hadn't even realised it's been so much fun! and it's thanx to craft and the visitors to this blog so look out for it no idea what it will be. Card Challenge

Hello, is any one else excited about Tim Holtz on QVC? not a channel I usually watch but I will be there tonight trying to get my ink stained fingers on some of Tim's New stuff, SO excited.

On to my card. Magnolia this week are doing a sketch fabby prize of two stamps, and as usual fab DT eforts. Basic Grey this week is a colour challenge, MARROON, LEMON & PINK, not one I would go for normally but I hope you think it works well on the card.

I think we all love Magnolia stamps, this is an image a lovely friend sent me, thanx Cheryl. you are such a sweetie and a lovely friend xx. I have ordered a one or two magnolia stamps last week I can't remember, infact I orderd lots last week and so this week will be like Christmas (oops!) well if I don't feel too guilty I'll take a photo ;0) I have coloured her with copics, I do feel I am getting better at this too! I don't know why but I find black hair really difficult some times and others just fine (who knows why?)

Isn't this charm just lovely? quite weighty too! I hand wrote the sentiment. Mothers day and my Mum's birthday are so close together, I don't like to do her out of a card (smiles). I have also done a few Easter note cards getting ready for the best time of the year .I love Easter as much as Christmas if not more it's a truly wonderful time to remember why we are here and of the greatest gift ever given (the Atonement) more of this closer the time ;0) Thank you for looking, and all your lovely comments, they keep me coming back to blog land and showing my efforts. Another card for Hubby

This is for a Magnolia challenge (Image was a gift thanx Cheryl) I still only have one magnolia stamp but looks like I will be able to get some a little easier this year, we shall see. I have posted another card for hubby beneath this post so please have a look as that will be the one I give him I think!. This is for a challenge at Magnolia I have just checked that it's still this one lol as the other card was for a challenge that I missed the deadline for lol (nothing has changed this year lol) Also Using this for Papertake weekly They would like you to have the theme of 'New' or use something New so I have used my new Marther Stewart punches.



I have another card to post lol I know I have the kitchen table full of new stamps and I am playing like mad, I even been to Asda today to print some photos off as I have promised my self to do more scrapbooking this year! I have lots of photos of my Grand son and photos of all the snow so I will be having some fun! I will schedual the next one three posts in one day would be far to much lol so pop back tommorow.

This is a close up of the image she is lovely (I really do need to buy some of these beauties) and lovely to colour in too! used my copics (I so need NEED some more colours) I don't know where all the money is going to come from though lol. Already had an order this year, do you like my new MS Punches lol and new stuff on the way from SU too in the next couple of weeks. Hey, I don't smoke or drink so all my pennies go on crafting lol can you blame me? start as you meen to go on lol spend spend spend ha ha ha.

Here is another angle (arty farty angle) who's blog do I go on that says that? she makes me laugh any way. So two post after over a week of absence (well it was Christmas & New Year I don't have my own craft room so the kitchen table is my craft space) Oh when will my beautiful boys move out? lol will have to fight hubby for the room though he wants a music room ha ha.
