Just wanted to share.....

My new business items. I'm hoping they help me look more professional  :) One can hope lol. I am also going to do a little give away as well, so I hope you like what I am offering you. See bottom of post for details if you can't wait.

When these arrived I was SO excited. My works of art on my cute moo sized business cards! Nice thick card and print quality is really true to the colours I'm so very pleased with these and you can have every single card with a different design on (how amazing?) I cut down full works of art (in windows) and used them  to upload to the sight Here. So I am passing these around at the moment, but I was thinking a head when I do my first craft show later in the year. These will look so cute in a little bowl, I could even make key rings out of them or put some ribbon in them can you tell I love them?

You can also have these lovely stickers Here. You can put your address on them or anything that will fit in the space and again you can have every sticker a different design if you like. I put some of my recent works on these and thought I would use them on items I have sold. People get a glimpse of what else is available and they also have your contact details.

Dragonfly's

We have had the sun shine out for a day or two in the NW of the UK and it's been a blessing I can tell you :). it made me feel all Spring like *smiles* so I  made this PC spraying the back ground with tattered angels sprays left to dry.

Then, I got out some stamps (stampin up very old) and distress inks, in various colours and stamped all over the back ground, many times until I got a look of a field of wild flowers. I created a feeling of distance to for ground, light colours that can be barely seen & using darker colours for the closer flowers.

I stamped the dragon fly's on three types of card, embossed for the body of one, plain card stock for the body of another and finally some scrap card which was covered in sparkly tattered angels sprays for the wings, This card is very glittery but I wasn't out in the sunshine when taking photos (it didn't turn out well so in the house I went. I hope you like the feeling of Spring. I may add a sentiment along there as well, I just have to find the right one. Thanks for looking Dxx

Moo-Mania

It's time to play with Moo-Mania and we have to use x3 moos on any project I have kept with the post cards. There is still yet more to come.  I am on a role with these and I am loving it as there is so many different ideas you can use, just like tags or ATCs but the space is 6x4

I really love making back grounds the back of the moos began life like this (see photo below)

Neo2s coloured like a patchwork quilt, then water sprayed all over  so the colours bleed together. With the back of a paint brush I scribbled (making marks is fun) then left to dry. I used this A4 card for moos, post cards and ATCs. The post card it self that the moos are on is also of my own design. This is lots of sprays (Tattered Angels)  and stamping. I hope you like these Moos/post card thanks for stopping by & any comments you leave. Dxx

More Post Cards

Hello again, what have you been up to this week so far? Told you I had the bug to make more PCs and here they are. Totally different from the painted ones from Tuesday.

I did go for thicker card for this (Home sweet home set of three) I have used Mount board, so very sturdy, therefore will not be easily bent in the post. Again pretty paper on the back so messages can be written.

I really enjoyed spraying, stamping & doodling all the houses, trees etc. Who would of thought it? I was looking at stamps I have and thought  these would be great if they were bigger, then I thought, "I can draw them bigger", so I had a go and this is the result.

I am really pleased with these little creations. Don't forget that on the 1st of each month I have a journal challenge Here no matter your skill level ALL are welcome to come and play each month. Hope to see you soon. Thank you for stopping by and any comments you leave (I read them all) I love an excuse to pop to a blog new/old to me I don't mind. I love to see what you have been creating. Love Dawn xx

Post Cards

I have been PLAYING working very hard and it's been "Such Fun" as Miranda would say. I got some paints out and just slapped them Creatively painted them on A4 card stock, stamped, added various bits & doodled then cut them in to four (post card size 6x4) and look what I came up with. I am loving this and I really like what I have ended up with.

There is a place for detailed cards (no doubt about that) but they can be heavy and cost extra because they are thicker than your average card. So here is my thinking, OOAK (one of a kind) Post Cards (they have pretty paper on the reverse that can be written on). But they still say you care as they are individual. So you could use a wedding colour/theme and pop all the details on the back, engagement cards possibilities are endless. I am trying to be frugal as we have so little for any kind of luxuries but I do like the personal touch, and that often costs extra.

These cost practically nothing to make and you still get your crafty art fix as you can be as creative (or not) as you like. I have just put these on A4 card if you want to pop them in an envelope (if invitations etc) but I am thinking thicker card just to pop through as they are I am already working on some so you may will see some more from me soon.

I have to say I am thinking magazine pieces scrap papers all sorts and I am excited by it. Have you done this before? Is it just me (I doubt that) let me know what you have been playing creating lately. Love Dawn xx

Post cards for friends

Look at these stunning ladies ;0) There is nothing plain about these women. But these simple Post Cards to me scream elegance. I wanted to send a few PCs to some friends who are just lovely women (we all need to be reminded of this sometimes) The women who received these are just so special in my life. I sent four in all. These are the two I remembered to photograph ;0)

I have put some beautiful Anna Griffin papers as a background to these lovely ladies. I hope they make the receivers smile and feel special, because they are very special to me. Dawn xx

A 12 year old girl needs you to make her smile

And it will be so easy for you to do. Veronica is a very poorly little girl 'Veronica' has had a nasty fall and has severed her spinal cord. The Doctors say it will take a miracle if she is to walk again. God is in the business of miracles and her family and friends have asked that we pray for her and while Veronica is in hospital to send her post cards or cards from all over the world to help her smile. It's not a lot to ask to make this little girl SMILE is it? for the address and more information please click  Here

Here is my little contribution. Front

And a close up.

The address you need to send your cards to is:-

Veronica c/o Coleen Franks 8a pushkinska, Burcha, Kyiv OB 08293 Ukraine.

So I hope we can all be supportive to this poorly little girl, All the family really want's is your Prayer's but Coleen (family friend) who is a crafter thought it would be nice to have people send cards, post cards, and is making a scrapbook, after she has come out of hospital with every thing she is sent so she knows that many, many people thought and prayed for her. If you are willing to make this small gesture please leave a comment so I can have an idea how many she will be getting sent. Love Dawn xx

Altered Post cards

Hello, gosh this post is very late today, I hope your day is going well. I have joined a swap with Trisha from the lovely French kissed. She sent me (and others) some stunning post cards at the end of March for us to alter. The title was 'April in Paris' Now if you visit you know I had to play I love French/Paris anything lol  (please put positive thoughts out there for me to go to Paris ;0) I am sorry but I have forgotten to take a before photo DER! anyway here is what I created with the cards I received.

The PCs were all vintage and black & white. It actually took me some time to actually do anything with them as they were just so beautiful as they were. But then I got to thinking about other vintage cards/photos and how they are colourised. And I thought I would use this as a theme through out. Look at these wonderful landmarks, one day I will see them for real (one day).

I made this lovely fairy from a sheet I bought from Land of nod studios . I thought she looked perfect here under the arch. I used my copics for all the colouring I am really please with the results.

The image is from crafty Individuals, aren't they just so perfect together? And the same done with the postcard back ground with the copics. After they were all finished I painted matt medium on all of them to protect them through the post as Trisha wanted us to sent them through the post just as they were. when she get' them all back she gets to keep some (she gave the post cards out) and then every one else get some back from who ever else joined in. I am looking forward to my swaps I look forward to seeing what others have done, however I am going to miss these post card I hope others will enjoy them.

Folksy Shop (new items)

I have been busy again. However, as I am more organised I have more time phew and those hours are getting filled. I have started a cross stitch  that I've had years, you know, one of those purchases that you have to have but never get round to making. So I hope to show you that soon ha ha. Now on to new makes for my folksy shop. I was encouraged to make more things as I sold my first item over Christmas. I was so thrilled some one wanted to purchase something I had made. So I have made a few items a couple of which I will show here but if you would like to see more then you will have to pop over to the shop ;0)

As you can see I have been playing with lots of things I have had these mini canvasses for ages too so I have used all three to make some yummy One of a kind (OOAK) gifts, with lots of details. The other's are available to look at or purchase at the Shop. The link for my shop in on the left hand side.

I have also been making, post cards. I am not that sure these will sell so I have only made two to test the waters so to speak ha ha. You can see some of my new goodies I got for Christmas here Love this image/stamp.

I have stamped the image on glossy card stock so this looks like a vintage photo on a vintage look post card what do you think? Well that's me for now see you again soon. Love Dawn xx

Beach post card.

I hope you are all well I had to post this as I really enjoyed making it so very much and I am really very pleased with how it turned out. I have noticed that it goes perfectly with The three muses who this week are asking for Mail Art. This is a post card.  The image came from Suzee Cue's what a find she is. Any way I have played with it until it looked suitable old enough.

Christmas is no where to be seen and I have been playing with glitter! I really liked how this set off the sea and her dress. I also added some of Tim Holts Tape this is super stuff!

Finally the back, Genuine vintage postage stamp and more stamps to make it look old and from Paris hope you like this quick make I was very pleased with the finished artical. Love Dawn xx

Tag & Post Card

Hello, Hope you are having a wonderful week end. What a busy few days, the computer and printer have made up and are finally speaking to one another again.  James was here for a few days belss,  and so many churcha activities and all have been wonderful.  Any way I can not tell you how happy that the Comp & Printer are back onb speaking tearms. I have already made good use of this wonderful news ;0) I made a post card (PC) for the challenge over at The Three Muses The theme is 'Tea for Two'

I am not a tea drinker or coffee for that matter! But quality time chatting with a gilfriend is what I thought of. I found this photo through google I have printed it off and aged it by crunching it up and adding, tea Distress Ink (DI) and also photo DI to. Same for the card stock too. This photo looked very 1920s I love lots of Art Deco stuff, buildings, pottery jewllery etc but haven't got pennies to collect this kind of art although I did get my paws on some repoduction post cards earlier this week. I have distressd a vintage button & another wooden button from stash. Also distressed the lace by inking & fraying ,sewn the buttons to it then stuck to the PC.

I also chose a photo and perferated the edges with my Cuttlebug to make a stamp, plus lots more DIs and more stamps to make this post card look like a wee bit of France lol. I did tell you I am into very french things at the moment lol still saving a little at a time (hope to get there for a few days this summer) just in case you didn't know already lol.

I have also made a tag for Tag It On  Their theme is 'Favoraite Film' Now this is one of my all time Fave movies, all though I love films and I love so many I have to say this one I can watch over & over and never get board (Like Pride & Predudice BBC version) 'You've Got Mail' is a film I can watch over & over! The origional is wonderful too I have only seen that once when it was on TV it's an old B&W called 'The Shop around the Corner' with James Stewart and the chap that played the wizard, in the wizard of OZ. I managed to find it on Play.com for under £10 very rare I actually didn't think you could get it any more, so thanx for this theme it made me think and now I have the origional version on it's way too!

I really enjoyed making this, It was so nice to get some ink on my fingers again.  It feels like forever since I last made something or posted on the blog! any way,  I even made the little envelopes from some scrap paper.  This is plain white card stock covered in DI and stamps (various) then layered with some images from google relating to the film.

Here I have covered the computer screen with glossy accents (you can just see Toms head shining lol) as well as the words they look like epoxy stickers now and I was really quite thrilled when it was finished. Now don't for get the clocks go fwd in UK on 28th so you will be robbed of an hour in bed however, on the bright side it wont get dark until about 8pm and the nights are going to get lighter ever week now.

I'm looking forward to that craft wise to, the light and also lots of out side food in our garden. Let's just hope the snow stays away and the warm weather continues. Enjoy your wonderful Sunday. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving comments and joining in with the candy, only a few days left now so hurry and join in if you haven't already. I look forward to popping by your blogs and catching up. Love Dawn xx

2nd Post of the day & some more Challenges

Hello for the seccond time today, I have been doing lots of stuff maybe I should put less on the blog, but I do love to show you my efforts. Still Loving Paris! I have made this post card.So much work in this, and what fun it was to make. (got very messy) Some card stock used lots of DI and then stamped the Effel Tower then gessoed a script stamp. A photo by CI and altered it, same with the chip board, added it all together so this is entilted 'From Paris with Love' very yummy I do hope I get there this year (sighs!)

This chip board was sanded to an inch of it's life ;0) then crackle paint and emboss powder sprinkled on in places. You can see the texture here and I love how this turned out.

There is a very fine glitter all over this piece and consiquently it was all over me, the dog, cat and various other members of the family lol

On to a challenge, Gothic Arches the theme 'wild & wacky' well a guy with no body singing in a 'Gilded Cage' (this is the name I given this piece) notice the bird is free! well if that isn't wacky or wild I don't know what is lol. This is also being entered for The Three Muses which this week is 'Incognito' I do hope you like it.

This is white card stock, DI and then photo cut out and added, then gold EP and stamped carefully to make sure it looks like the man is safely inside! Then some more stamps in DI round the edges! I had real trouble thinking of something I can tell you!

Next is another challenge for Stampin' Sisters In Christ they are looking for peaceful this week. I think this brings peace, the colours and birds. I just fell in love with this card when it was finished! I think the papers are wonderful K&Co I have used them loads before (you get so many in a pad!) the stamps are indivually stamped with versafine and DI then Clear EP & heated. I have distressed all the edges.

You can see a few of the levels here and the texture I hope. Also the cute little butterflys all glittered.

Thought I would include a close up of the hand made flower, done with a circle scallop punch in the chosen paper then lots of stickles added and the punched leaves. I am sure you all know by now how to make these yummy flowers I have done a tutorial, July last year! you can find it Here If you want to have a look. I have just used three punched scallops instead on one!  then stuck them together, and of course a quick peak inside.

And finally a crafty delivery! going to be some Alice stamped creations floating around! I will be posting some candy for my blogaversary L8TA to day so stop by if you can so much going on in one day can you stand it? lol leave a comment.
