February Journal Page

Yes at last February. This is my calender Journal page. I hope you like it, I have finished March too but you will have to wait and see lol. I have spotted an error but it's only for my use so I will leave it (FebUary) yes missed the R doh!

Here are the pages side by side (click on to make larger) I have used lots of paint from Claudia I wanted it to have a love theme, hence the red and some Tim Holtz to make the numbers (days of the month).

It was nice to make this little cute couple aah sweet. It's always nice to show you something I have been working on too. I am also going to enter this in Simon Says stamp and show there are lots of stamps behind the days of the month ans I also used a stamp wheel on the top and bottom with some distress powder. Is any one having problems with fire fox and blogger? I have had to use google to post as it's just not letting me comment or post. Be back soon Love Dawn xx

Door hanger

Afternoon it's Thursday, and I thought I would share what I was working on last night. Nothing special, however I have a new calling (job) at my church, as you can see I am now the librarian and I thought I would make a wee door hanger to give my details (post it note to hide tel number) and well make the door to the library look a little more studious ha ha. I have also started a new blog I don't know if it will be for you. I am a very spiritual person and I try to live the gospel 24/7 I am not always successful by any stretch of the imagination lol but I thought it would be nice to offer prayers for people who were ill or struggling in some way and just to share my thoughts and maybe a little craft with a religious theme too I know it's not for every one so here is a link to my new blog I have called it Dawnies Spiritual Thoughts there will be other things to, if you have a charity event you would like to advertise or any spiritual pictures you would like to share please get in contact. Love Dawn xx

12 x 12 LO and two challenges

I would like to thank Pam for her challenge over on SSIC I have been really moved by her comments on her own blog (hence the link) I have followed her for a while as she does the most amazing LOs But her challenge this week really moved me, to find out more pop to one of the links above. The challenge  on SSIC is to worship the lord in a project of any kind just create something to thank the Lord for your God given talent. And I have to say I am pleased with this LO I have been trying to get a bit of a wow factor and I think it's getting there lol. This is also for Kraftin Kimmy which is this week to use buttons & bows. I love the way I have used the KK image this week, they are that good you can use them bare with a little imagination! not forgetting a wee bit of help form the Lord ;0)

Look isn't she cute with her little bow? Actually it was the packaging of the KK that gave me my colour sceme, lilac is a fabby colour isn't it. There is another bow in the corner, I love the vellum with all the wonderful words on virtue, purity, strength, Faith, humility etc I had a few sheets and this is my last it's by rusty pickle and I haven't seen any since but it's lovely, they do other religious papers too I have seen them in Amereica but postage to UK is not worth it if you see or know of any of this range in UK tip me the wink ;-).

I have had these papers from Kanban for ever! (flower ones) and they are very good quality and versitile goodness knows how they have lasted this long and still lots left! aren't these buttons cute?

Where would we be with out HOPE? sweet sentiment. Can you see I have been busy making my very own DP with the new Anna Griffin stamps. Pop and have a look at the main picture for a better view. This is the sentiment from Prima, got some sparkly gems with it too! There are a few in the range faith, hope (I forget the rest) but I am liking them and the price too! (still Monday for me but hopefully it should be Wed when you see this) Love Dawn xx

12 x 12 LO James 'PLAY'

Here he is, making another appearence he he. God love him, he will be staying on Tuesday so unless I get lots of stuff up and blogger wants to play ball  (last time I tried it just would not schedual anything) I may shedual some thing for while he is here, if not, bare with me I will be back lol.
I can not believe how much different cards are to scrapping and it is SO different! so for me it's hard to do the two. But I have to keep going and try, these memories have to be saved and better this than just lots of photos in an album hey? This American Craft papers  are devine however, the patterns are on the other side lol they just didn't look right at all untill I put them plain side up!

Awh bless him. he is changing so fast, there is only a few months between these photos but one he looks like a real baby and the other getting really grown up, he makes me smile so much! the photos are just backed on white card stock here.

The title PLAY is some chip board letters from K& Co and most of the other die cuts & scallop circle are Making Memories. Great stuff to work with. The stamp along the bottom is SU on a roller thing. Theses are great, I have a few and if I am going to be doing more scrapping I think these are good for that. I am struggling with these LOs. They haven't got the wow factor yet! I will have to get some magazines for scrapping and try harder. Thanx for stopping by. Love Dawn xx

More ATCs & another delivery woo hoo!

More ATCs  And there are a few challenges between them. First is Stampin' Sisters in Christ. Which this week is about time, as is Something Completely Different which is for this month ATCs and this weeks theme is time. I am also going to enter this in for Allsorts which this week is a lable tag or ticket. They are the challenges for the ATC on the RIGHT. Now the challenges for the LEFT. Dragons Dream is a new site for me but this week she would like to see Tigers (my fave cat of all) or something tiger related. Tuesday Taggers is getting messy (photos to follow he he). You are also asked for a chance to win a prize to include a link for The Craft Barn, I have bought GM and lots of stuff from these so I don't mind recomending them.

The above two photos are close ups of the ATC  to the right on the first photo. (still with me?) hope so lol. Done lots of things on this I used TH stamp on acitate, stapled the ticket and took a clip from SU and used alcohol ink to distress it. Lots of Glimmer Mist and DI, I used sprockets & gears as masks, wiped the ink off them and put them back in the packet lol.

I love the texture that this stamp from Anna has given lots. Loads of GM at first and then some Stazon on the stamp and vola tiger stripes, and I thought as the Tigers are so endangered (some kind of tigers are actually extinct in the wild and off the face of the planet) hard to believe isn't it? So I thought the quote was very apt good 'ol Shakespeare!

I have been much messyer (if there is such a word lol) but there it is lots of mess and ink n stuff all over the place. Thanx for looking, and any comments. Love Dawn xx

EDITED TO ADD: this mornings arrivals woo hoo

Aren't these babies yummy!

Altered Jars with home made goodies :0)

Hello to you all, thanx for stopping by you all so sweet! Speaking of sweet I have made some for the auction and altered some jars from IKEA
Home made fudge in these some just vanilla fudge and some smeared with chocolate! (too sweet for me) but had to hide these from hubby and the boys. (they've had their share)

Love these stamps and also very versatile, the one on the left is square and you can use the square SU scallop punch with it, but I have use the pinches pain and scallop so they fit nice on the lids.

The small jars were £1.99 for 4 and I thing the large ones were £2.99 so filled with goodies. I call these Yummies as when the boys eat them they always want more and say they are YUM! lol hence the name. They are like small biscuits with glazed cherries and lemon icing sugar dribbled all over lol. Even now have just had to tell hubby off not to pinch them (you would think I hadn't made them any? but alas made yesterday all gone this morning lol) these are also for the auction on Friday, along with the cute little vest's I made yesterday do have a look if you get chance. Thank you for looking. Love Dawn xx

Items Used SU punches, card stock & inks. Jars from IKEA.

Spoon full of sugar

Hi, I love these kimmy stamps so quirky! and I love the colour combo we have been asked to use for ASFOS challenge you have to use the basic colour of brown with either pink or blue. Any of these will make a fabby combo, but I went dor blue this time!
These images are cute but in a wierd way don't you think? Sorry about the light but it's awful no mattter what time I take the photo and if I use the flash, well I am sure you can imagine! The flower was a cream colour so I used the Copics to get the three tone colour on it.
Hope you like this as much as I am enjoying making it. Please feel free to have a look around there are some altered projects some brayering infact alsorts. Thank you for looking. Love Dawn xx
